Thesis Research:
Infective endocarditis is a disease that occurs worldwide.
One of the leading causative agents is Staphylococcus aureus,
especially common in elderly patients (Yok et al. 2002). My
research will be focused on Staphylococcal endocarditis, and
the roles that the different Staphylococcal toxins (TSST-1,
alpha-toxin, gamma-toxin) play in the disease.
